We've not noticed any sound from it at all, and it's very close (with no door in between) to our living area. The only time we hear anything really is when it's turning on and going as fast as possible to get the house up to temperature, and even then it's easily quieter than a heat pump. You can programme it to heat the house more slowly over a longer window if the noise is an issue.

My biggest tip would be to stop up any gaps around the unit itself - we found ours was leaking a lot of heat into our roofspace in the first couple of weeks, so (after checking with Rinnai) went around it with silicon sealant to make it more efficient.

Happy to answer any other questions you have - we're still very happy with ours, nearly a year since installation. :-) Rosahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07645883799759203673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5570367827005572290.post-46165940669457084722016-06-08T22:14:38.967-07:002016-06-08T22:14:38.967-07:00Hi there

Can I ask what the size of your return air grille is please? Also, can you hear the return air grille suck the air back into the system? As we have a small house, the best position we have for the return air grille is about 50cm down the hallway from the lounge area, thus noise could be an issue for us.
Any and all help/tips you can provide would be awesome thanks :)
Cheers
LizAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
